Benjamin Naishtat shot EL MOVIMIENTO for Jeonju Cinema Project 2015!

April 9, 2015

Jeonju Cinema Project (formerly Jeonju Digital Project) selected TFL Alumnus Benjamin Naishtat to take part in its 2015 edition. After premiering in last year’s Berlinale Competition, the Argentinian director’s first feature HISTORIA DEL MIEDO (Script&Pitch 2010, FrameWork 2011) won the Grand Prize in the International Competition at the Jeonju International Film Festival.
JIFF invited Naishtat for the 2015 edition of the initiative because “the festival could not ignore his experimentally artistic nature and uniqueness”. Naishtat’s Jeonju Cinema Project entry EL MOVIMIENTO completed its 12-day shoot in February and is currently in the final stages of post-production, with a World Premiere coming at the 16th JIFF (30 April-9 May).

Last year, another Script&Pitch Alumnus completed a film in the frame of the then-called Jeonju Digital Project: György Pálfi’s FREE FALL then went on to win 3 awards including Special Prize of the Jury, Best Director and the Label Europa Cinemas at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
