ADAMA in competition at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival

May 18, 2015

Exciting news from France: the first ever TorinoFilmLab-developed animated film will premiere soon...
We are extremely pleased to announce that the animation feature ADAMA by French duo Simon Rouby (writer/director) and Julien Lilti (co-writer) is one of the eight feature films selected for the competition of the 56th Annecy International Animation Film Festival, to be held on 15-20 June 2015.

12-year-old Adama lives in a remote village in West Africa. Out beyond the cliffs lies the Land of Breaths, peopled by wicked war-hungry spirits. When his big brother suddenly vanishes from the village, Adama decides to go look for him. Full of desperation and childish innocence, he will traverse Europe at war. The love that he has for his brother will lead to an unexpected end to his journey.

ADAMA, produced by Paris-based Naïa Productions and co-produced by Pipangaï Production (located in La Réunion), was part of Script&Pitch 2010 and FrameWork 2011, as well as of our partner Le Groupe Ouest’s script development programme.
