5 TFL projects featured in the Toronto programme

September 4, 2015

After the big hit of lots of TFL-supported projects competing in major film festivals such as Locarno, San Sebastián and Venice, TFL Alumni strike again! The Toronto International Film Festival 2015 (10-20 September) line-up will feature several TFL projects, here's the details.

The TIFF Discovery Section features the World Premiere of EVA NOVA by Slovakian writer-director Marko Skop (FrameWork 2013) and two projects currently competing in the 72nd Venice Film Festival (respectively in the Orizzonti Section and in the Official Competition): MOUNTAIN by Israeli writer/director Yaelle Kayam (Script&Pitch 2012, FrameWork 2013, TFL Distribution Fund, Audience Design 2015) and THE WAIT by Italian writer-director Piero Messina (Script&Pitch 2013).

Furthermore, Palestinian writer-director Mai Masri’s 3000 NIGHTS (Interchange 2011) is in the Contemporary World Cinema Section, while the Wavelenghts Section features EVA NO DUERME by Argentinian writer-director Pablo Agüero (Script&Pitch 2009 and TFL Distribution Fund 2015).

Besides the abovementioned TFL films, several TFL Alumni are present in various sections of the TIFF programme, among them remarkably David Verbeek (Script&Pitch 2012) competing in the brand new Platform with FULL CONTACT, and Laszlo Nemes (Script&Pitch 2012, FrameWork 2015) in the Special Presentations with his Cannes Grand Prix-winning debut SON OF SAUL.
