BEAST to premiere in Toronto's Platform competition!

BEAST by British director Michael Pearce will have its World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival 2017, as one of the 12 films selected for the competitive section Platform, dedicated to "original voices and visionary works". 

BEAST is BAFTA-nominated writer-director Michael Pearce's much awaited debut feature, and was developed at TorinoFilmLab's Script&Pitch 2011 and FrameWork 2012 programmes.

It is centered on an emotionally isolated woman coming under the spotlight of an island community when she falls in love with a man who is suspected of a series of brutal killings.

The film, jointly produced by UK companies Agile Films and Stray Bear with the support of the BFI - British Film Institute and Film4, was part of the line-up of TFL Coming Soon 2016, TorinoFilmLab's work-in-progress event.
