TFL Films & Series
March 4, 2019
4 TFL Projects have been selected to join the next edition of the prestigious Cannes Cinéfondation - Atelier, taking place on 16-23 May 2019. A few days ago, Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk has also been invited to participate in the 38th session of the Parisian Résidence with his TFL Project PAMFIR (Script&Pitch 2016).
Three of the four TFL entries for l’Atelier participated in FeatureLab 2018. RIFT IN THE ICE (Serbia, Italy, Slovenia), is Maja Miloš’ second feature. THE SETTLERS (Chile, Argentina, Denmark), will be Felipe Gálvez’s debut feature, and so will THE WOODCUTTER STORY (Finland), by Mikko Myllylahti - the scriptwriter of TFL Film THE HAPPIEST DAY IN THE LIFE OF OLLI MAKI. Both projects were recently selected for the Cannes Critics’ Week’s Next Step programme. NEZOUH by Soudade Kaadan, a project from Syria developed within Interchange 2013, is completing the line-up.
Each year, the Cinéfondation’s Atelier hosts 15 directors "whose projects have been considered particularly promising". The aim of the programme is to facilitate international co-productions by allowing the film teams to meet potential partners and move toward pre-production.
