1952, Eva Perón just died. She is the most beloved, but also hated political figure of Argentina. An expert is in charge of her embalming. After years of hard work, he achieves a remarkable work. Meanwhile in Argentina coups follow each other and some dictators want to remove Evita’s legacy from the people’s memory. Her body becomes the stake of clashes during 25 years. This "sleeping beauty" becomes the most powerful figure than any other living politician.

Downtown Cairo, 2009. Khalid, a 35 years old filmmaker is struggling to make a film that captures the soul of his city while facing loss in his own life. Together with his friends, who send him footage from their lives in Beirut, Baghdad and Berlin, he confronts a region on edge through filming the difficulty and beauty of living In the Last Days of the City.
