TFL Extended - calls open for Story Editing and Audience Design workshops!

We are happy to announce two exciting TFL Extended workshops: Story Editing and Audience Design! The two workshops will be held over the same 4 days in Turin, Italy. As always, there will be intensive work and learning but also lots of networking with film professionals from around the world.

TFL Extended - Story Editing
The demand for Story Editors is constantly growing, through this workshop TFL gives the tools necessary to become a great Story Editor, for both Feature Film and TV Series.

This is a is a hands-on training workshop for film professionals willing to accompany writers and directors in the development of their projects. The aim of the programme is to provide an insight into the development process of both products, focusing on specific technical material.

Participants will acquire skills in the fields of treatment and script analysis, assessment of project development and script consulting. More concretely, they will gain insight and training in working with writers, from an idea up to a professional draft of the script, helping them find the core of their story and encouraging a script loyal to the intention of the writer and/or director.

TFL Extended - Audience Design
This is a is an intensive workshop addressed to international audiovisual professionals wishing to gain solid hands-on experience, creating audience engagement strategies for Feature Film projects in various stages of development.

The workshop aims at sharing insights into steps that help build a concrete strategy to later support the sales and distribution of a film.

Participants will understand how audience engagement in the development and later promotion of a film are an important part of the new film production and distribution landscape. Reaching out to and communicating with possible audiences at an early stage is an aspect that benefits the project, exploring from a multi-angle approach. 

Audience Designers will work as a group, individually, and in small teams, as well as collaborating with the film project’s team. A tutor will guide them through the development, research, writing and assessment process.
