TorinoFilmLab launches new edition of SeriesLab 2020 – Italian projects can apply for SeriesLab Italia!

May 14, 2019

TFL’s long-run programme for TV Series projects is back for a new edition: from December 2019 to March 2020, SeriesLab will welcome 9 European long fiction TV series projects at an early development stage. 3 Italian projects will also be selected in reshaped SeriesLab Italia.

Organized in partnership with Series Mania Forum, SeriesLab aims at developing innovative and high-profile international TV series projects, through 3 residential workshops and 2 on-line sessions. The lab follows the entire process of creation of a TV series concept, offering the support of highly qualified tutors and story editors in generating ideas and structuring the material, up to a final presentation in front of major key players of the international TV industry at Series Mania Forum (March in Lille, France). Thanks to our partnerships with Series Mania Forum, Screen Ireland and VAF - Flanders Audiovisual Fund, the programme will welcome 1 project from each of the following regions: France, Ireland and the Flanders region of Belgium.

SeriesLab Italia is a parallel initiative, organized in partnership with Film Commission Torino Piemonte and supported by SIAE. Aimed at scouting and developing first concept of innovative and high-profile Italian TV series projects, SeriesLab Italia is open to 3 Italian projects (among which at least 1 will be selected for considering to be shot totally or mainly in Piedmont). The programme foresees two 4-day-long residential workshops in December 2019 and February 2020 as well as 1 on-line session.

The aim of SeriesLab and SeriesLab Italia is to draft the treatment of the pilot and the concept presentation (mini-bible) of the project.
