FrameWork

There is no call for applications for this programme. Projects that directly enter FrameWork may participate by invitation only, after having been scouted by TorinoFilmLab's selection team.

TorinoFilmLab FrameWork supports emerging international talent with individually tailored tools for development, financing and marketing.

The programme lasts 8 months (from April to November), assisting projects and assessing both content and production strategies through 2 residential workshops, individual meetings and on line sessions that are defined during the process.

Through close dialogue with each core team, TorinoFilmLab works to define each project’s particular needs and aims in order to enhance and strengthen its resources and opportunities. Intense script and project development increases the momentum of the projects in reaching the production stage. After studying the most feasible production strategies, each project-team will have the coordinated efforts of the TorinoFilmLab at their disposal throughout the year.

During the workshops participants get to meet various guest trainers coming from different fields, each of whom has a specific area of expertise: from directing to sound design, from co-production issues to sales, from financing to marketing, and so forth. The trainers and subjects vary from year to year and always guarantee a tailored approach for the specificities of each project.

At the end of the programme all projects are pitched in front of producers and sales agents who are invited to the Meeting Event on November, during the Torino Film Festival.  On this occasion, a Jury composed of TorinoFilmLab’s Advisory Board assigns a number of Production Awards to the best projects that have been developed. Selected projects are granted a minimum of 50,000 Euros and a maximum of 200,000 Euros.

Up to 12 teams of writer and producer are invited each year to enter the FrameWork programme. Up to 6 come from the Script&Pitch programme, after receiving the Development Award, and up to 6 are scouted and directly invited by TorinoFilmLab’s selection experts.
