Open call for FeatureLab 2018: discover the trainers line-up!

February 6, 2018

TorinoFilmLab is exciting to launch the new call for applications for FeatureLab 2018, with deadline on March 1st, 2018. We are looking for 10 feature film projects at an advanced stage of development and 4 Audience Designer trainees to join this year’s edition!

The creative teams of scriptwriter, director and producer developing their 1st or 2nd feature film projects will benefit from consultations with various trainers, who are internationally experienced in the main areas of filmmaking. Among the first names confirmed for this edition, we are glad to announce Berlinale Camera-winner Katriel Schory (Israel); as well as Producer Didar Domehri (France) – winner of the IFCIC Prize 2017 distinguishing an emerging French production company; Post-Production supervisor Niko Remus (Germany). Audience Engagement consultants – and TFL Audience Design Alumni Riema Reybrouck (Belgium) & Joanna Solecka (Poland), and Luxbox sales company co-owner Hédi Zardi (France) will also be amongst the trainers.

2 TFL Alumni join the team of script consultants: Britta Krause (Germany – Script&Pitch 2012) and Ayman El Amir (Egypt – Story Editing 2015), working alongside Marietta von Hausswolff von Baumgarten (Sweden).

The Audience Designer trainees will work on a Sardinian feature film project as a group, individually, and in small teams under the guidance of their tutor: Valeria Richter (Denmark). They will develop and draft an innovative audience engagement strategy to inspire the film’s future distribution. The approach seeks to identify a project’s goals, to build communities, social and digital media outreach, as well as off-line activities based on the project involved.
