EL CRISTO CIEGO for the first time screened in Turin!

March 27, 2018

TorinoFilmLab, in collaboration with Museo Nazionale del Cinema and Cinema Massimo, inaugurates a new cycle of monthly meetings called "TorinoFilmLab presents...". This new initiative aims at offering a selection of films developed and supported by the TorinoFilmLab programmes during its first 10 years of activity, which travelled to the most important international festivals.

The first screening – EL CRISTO CIEGO by Christopher Murray (Chile/France 2016, 85') – will take place on Wednesday, 18 April, at 9 pm at Cinema Massimo (via Verdi 18, Turin). The film was developed within the Script&Pitch 2012 programme and had its world premiere in Competition at Venice Film Festival 2016. Screen Daily said that «Murray’s second feature is suspended between exaltation and pathos, savage beauty and disillusionment». EL CRISTO CIEGO is a co-production between Jirafa (Chile) and Cine Sud (France), and it is distributed by Film Factory.

TFL accompanied the project from the ideation stage to the first draft of the script, until its final presentation during the TFL Meeting Event, the co-production market held every November in Turin and which brings together more than 300 professionals from all over the world to attend the participants' pitch.
