3 TFL Projects on the French Riviera!

May 7, 2018

We are always thrilled to receive updates about the projects developed with TorinoFilmLab, and it is extremely gratifying when prestigious institutions such as CinéfondationRésidence & L’Atelier and La Fabrique Cinéma pick up TFL Projects!

The next Cannes Film Festival (8-19 May) will welcome many familiar faces in search of potential partners to back the further development of their projects.

NIGHT OF THE KINGS by Philippe Lacôte (France/Côte d’Ivoire) is one of the 10 feature film projects selected by La Fabrique Cinéma de l’Institut Français. This second feature, formerly known as ZAMA, participated in Script&Pitch 2016. With NIGHT OF THE KINGS, Lacôte continues to explore the themes developed in his previous works: the memory and recent history in Côte d’Ivoire. The director and the Ivorian producer Ernest Konan of Wassakara Productions will benefit from personalized support and will meet with potential partners to finance their project.

The FeatureLab 2017 project WHETHER THE WEATHER IS FINE by Carlo Francisco Manatad (Philippines) is one of the 15 promising projects that will be hosted at the Cinéfondation’s Atelier. Together with producer Armi Rae Cacanindin, Carlo Francisco will be able to meet potential partners during one-to-one meetings. They will also have a privilege access to the programme of daily Festival screenings, meetings and events.
