May 15, 2018

On the occasion of TorinoFilmLab’s 10th anniversary, we are pleased to invite you on an interactive journey into the world of TFL. Discover the people behind the numbers, the stories behind the awards: the adventure starts here.

FIVE CONTINENTS, ONE PASSION

TorinoFilmLab is a vivid community of filmmakers, scriptwriters, producers & film professionals from all over the world whose paths cross for a while thanks to TorinoFilmLab.

“The aesthetical, cultural and political diversity of the tutors and colleagues produces an exchange that would have hardly been achieved in other spaces”

Marcelo Martinessi (Paraguay) – ScriptLab 2014, FeatureLab 2015

GLIMPSE INTO THE DATA

Craving to know how many applications has TorinoFilmLab been receiving each year, how many one-to-one meetings were organized during the TFL Meeting Events? Who are the Decision Makers returning each year? What were the most successful TFL Films at Torino Film Festival? You will find the answers to all these questions, and much more! The world of TorinoFilmLab is now accessible at one glance.

“It’s very reassuring to meet people in such conditions, because you know a very selective process has been in place so you can just go ahead and try to work with these projects”

Gabrielle Dumon (France) – Decision Maker 2017, Le Bureau Film/Le Petit Bureau (Producer)

YEARBOOK: DISCOVER OUR STORY

From the first presentation of TFL at Cannes Film Festival ten years ago up to the presentation of 7 new feature films during the first semester of 2018 – including Golden Bear-winner TOUCH ME NOT by Adina Pintilie and the opening film of the 50th Quinzaine des Réalisateurs, BIRDS OF PASSAGE by the Colombian duo Ciro Guerra & Cristina Gallego: TorinoFilmLab has built a solid scheme to support emerging talents and encourage creativity. We share the key moments that shaped the laboratory and gave its identity to the TFL experience

“I feel very lucky to be able to have this experience: otherwise I would just be in the natural state of a filmmaker, which is to be lonely, in anguish. In this sense, even though TorinoFilmLab is away from home, it’s a home”

Elad Keidan (Israel) – ScriptLab 2017
