Who will be tutoring the SeriesLab participants in 2021?

January 28, 2021

SeriesLab, TFL programme committed to reach and enhance TV series projects, is gearing up for its fifth edition. The call targeting professional scriptwriters, directors and producers wishing to work on their TV series idea, has got a new deadline: the applications can be submitted until February 10th, 2021.

The 9 selected projects will be involved in two 4-day-long residential workshops in June and November 2021, plus one on-line workshop in September. For the whole path, they’ll be guided and trained by a team of experienced industry professionals.

Three new tutors will join the scriptwriter, story editor and producer Nicola Lusuardi – SeriesLab Head of Studies – for this upcoming edition.

Waiting to kick off the programme, we are happy to welcome the first two tutors already on board, starting with Anne Feinsilber, an award-winning maker of documentary and fiction films, as well as a screenwriting teacher at the Paris-based film school EICAR.
Among her works we can list: the feature documentary, REQUIEM FOR BILLY THE KID (official selection at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival), the television series LA CHANCE DE TA VIE (to be released in 2021) which she co-wrote or MADE IN HOLLYWOOD, which was broadcast on French-German ARTE. During her career she had the chance to direct various documentaries in New York City and to produce Sébastien Lifshitz's LA TRAVERSÉE (Cannes, Director's fortnight, 2001) and Raphael Nadjari's I AM JOSH POLONSKI'S BROTHER (Berlin Film Festival, 2001).

She’ll work side by side with Simon Judd, who has gained experience in script development in nearly 20 years. His career started at the BBC, before joining ITV Studios and then returning to the BBC as Head of Development for BBC Drama North in 2010. There he worked on a wide range of dramas including multi-BAFTA winning IN THE FLESH, James Herbert's THE SECRET OF CRICKLEY HALL and BBC1 crime series FROM DARKNESS and IN THE DARK. He joined Fremantle as Head of Development for Euston North in 2017 and in 2019 became Creative Director at Castlefield, where he currently works, running their distinctive and dynamic development slate and producing globally impactful and zeitgeist-defining drama.
