Sebastian Peña Escobar (Asunción, 1973). Producer, writer & independent researcher.
Studied Economics and got an MBA from The University of Kansas.
Since 2002 developed and produced magazines, books and audiovisual content. Since 2007, co-organizes the Photography Month in Paraguay. Published essays on cultural theory, prose, poetry and articles in local magazines.
Participated in TorinoFilmLab 2015 (Framework).

His filmography is composed by:
- "Chicas Nuevas 24 Horas" (Spain, Paraguay, Argentina, Colombia, Perú, 2015) - documentary-film about global human trafficking. Nominated Best Documentary at the 2015 Goya Awards.
- "Guaraní" (Argentina-Paraguay, 2015), winner of Visión Europea Award at Ventana Sur (Buenos Aires, 2014) and Best Foreign Film at the Festival do Gramado (Brazil, 2016).
- "The Heiresses" (Paraguay, Brazil, Uruguay, Germany, Norway, 2017). Currently in post-production.
