Nadia Eliewat – M.F.A in Cinematic Arts (Screenwriting & Producing) - RSICA 2010

Nadia is a Producer and Screenwriter whose passion is finding new stories to tell and helping create new voices through education.

After experimenting with short films (2006 -2010), and winning her first award for producing the Jordanian short "High Heels", Nadia Produced her first feature fiction from Jordan titled WHEN MONALIZA SMILED, the film premiered at Dubai International Film Festival 2012 and won the Journalists Award and Best Lead Actress at Oran International Film Festival 2013.

In 2013, Nadia started co-writing and producing her second feature film from Lebanon titled MAHBAS, the film was shot in summer 2015 and is now in post-production.

MAHBAS is produced through Nadia’s recently established Jordanian production company “Screen Project”, through which she aims at developing and producing various platforms of Screen content with specific focus on films for theatrical release.

From 2010 until today, Nadia has been teaching screenwriting and production as an Associate Professor at the Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication (MBRSC), American University in Dubai.

SCREEN PROJECT - Company Profile

Screen Project is a Jordanian production company established by UAE based film producer & screenwriter Nadia Eliewat. The company aims at producing various platforms of screen content with specific focus on fiction films for theatrical release.

Screen Project first title is (MAHBAS – Solitaire) a Lebanese social comedy directed by the renowned music video director Sophie Boutors and co-written by Sophie and Nadia who is also the film producer. The film is now in post-production aiming a (2016) release.

Before establishing the company, Nadia produced the award winning Jordanian feature film WHEN MONALIZA SMILED (2012), written & directed by Fadi G. Haddad. It is a romantic comedy set in Amman, exploring themes of stereotypes and diversity.
