Konstantinos Kontovrakis was born and raised in Athens, Greece. He obtained a BA in Film Studies and English Literature and an MA in Arts Management in London, where he also worked as a researcher and production assistant for documentaries and corresponded for the Greek film magazine CINEMA.

He has published film reviews and articles in various Greek media and edited publications, including a bilingual monograph on American independent filmmaker John Sayles. In the meantime, Konstantinos Kontovrakis had been collaborating with the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, for which he worked for ten years mainly as a programmer.

Since 2008 Konstantinos started developing some ideas and projects of his own, moving thus in production. With his expertise on festivals and publicity, Konstantinos worked as an executive producer in two projects now in post-production, “J.A.C.E.” by Menelaos Karamangiolis and “Wasted Youth” by Argyris Papadimitropoulos. Konstantinos is currently developing two projects of his own, “Twice a Stranger”, a Greek-Turkish co-production to be directed by Baris Pirhasan and “Lyssa”, the first-ever Greek vampire film to be directed by Argyris Papadimitropoulos.

Konstantinos is affiliated to Blonde Audiovisual Productions, through which he develops all of his projects.
