Despina Ladi is a Greek scriptwriter and journalist based in London.
After receiving her BA from the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies at the University of Athens, she followed screenwriting courses in New York and completed an MA in Screenwriting at the London Film School.
She has worked in feature films (Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, The Life Of David Gale), did a work placement in the Script Department of Working Title Films and has been a freelance programmer for International Film Festivals. Since 2000 she also works as a journalist for leading newspapers and magazines. Her monthly column «Life: 2,3 things I know about it» was published into a book in 2011.
Her short films have screened and been awarded in International Film Festivals, while her feature film screenplays Good Intentions and The Contents Of The Gap Between You And Me were selected for the MFI Script 2 Film Workshops.
She is a Sarajevo Talent Campus alumna.
