After more than three years as the assistant to ARTE France's Head of Projects, Claire Launay, joined in 2002 the ARTE subsidiary for Cinema co-production.

Trained at the Conservatoire Européen d'Ecriture Audiovisuelle, she now coordinates for ARTE France Cinéma and ARTE Cofinova the group of readers and the selection process of feature films projects with Olivier Père and Rémi Burah. She also participates for ARTE France Cinéma in several co-production forums in International Film Festivals. In 2013, she attended the EAVE Producers Workshop.

Since its founding, Arte France Cinema has been involved in more than 600 films and has worked together with over 300 different directors representing more than 50 different nationalities. The subsidiary policy focuses on talent renewal, efforts to boost European and world cinema, and steps to revitalize French cinema. Roughly speaking, co-production may be broken down into three categories: one-third first features, one-third French films, and one-third international joint ventures.
