ANU AUN is a 35-year old Estonian director-scriptwriter and producer, currently working in Luxfilm. Anu has graduated with BA from TV Directing and completed postgraduate studies in Film Directing in Baltic Film and Media School. She was one of the founders of the production company Luxfilm in 2005. Anu has produced and directed several short films and documentaries. Anu has also worked as a script editor for several short films and produced Maiju Ingman’s feature „Whatever, Aleksander!“ (2007). Anu’s latest short film „Shift“ has been selected to more than 70 international film festivals including Clermont-Ferrand, Tampere, Grimstad, Montreal, Shanghai, Uppsala and Rome and won 17 prizes from all over the world. Estonian Filmmaker’s Union gave this film XIII Estonian Filmdays‘ Annual Filmaward. Estonian National Culture Foundation awarded "Shift" as The Best Debut of the Cultural Year. Anu’s firs feature film script „The Polar Boy“ was developed in Torino Film Lab advanced scriptwriters course „Script&Pitch“ and NIPKOW residency program. Film will be released in 2016 summer.

Founded in 2005, Luxfilm is an independent Estonian film studio specializing in film production and offering postproduction services. In it’s 10 years of existence Luxfilm has produced several internationally awarded shorts and documentaries. In 2015 Luxfilm premiered creative documentary about improvisation - “Impromptu” by Priit Pääsuke and Mart Taniel. Currently Luxfilm has two documentaries in production – portrait of poetess Kristiina Ehin “Walker on Water” and portrait of singer and composer Tõnis Mägi. In 2016 a youth film “The Polar Boy” by Anu Aun will be released. There is also Anu’s new children’s film “Eia’s Christmas at Phantom Owl Farm” in development.
