biography

Naima started her career at Celluloid Dreams in 2005 as a legal and business affairs executive, handling all distribution and financing activities of the company. She then joined Eone in its international sales department in Toronto, before moving to London in 2010. She worked for indie distributor Metrodome before joining Headline Pictures (Dustin Hoffman's Quartet and Ralph Fiennes' The Invisible Woman) to work as their production executive across the feature film and television slate. In 2013, she started the London office of Memento Films International, with a particular focus on development, financing and producing for the company.

Memento Films International is an independent production and sales company based in Paris and London. Emilie Georges founded it in 2005. Designed to track and accompany selective, high profile, director driven cinema, it represents 8 to 10 projects on its international slate, and most recently develops and produces its own material. Attending major industry events, its ambition is to nurture and to consolidate talents around the world, with an award winning, original and innovative line-up. With now its production and financing capacities, it offers tailor made solutions for the filmmakers and partners worldwide.

The current slate includes BERLIN SYNDROME by Cate Shortland, MA LOUTE by Bruno Dumont, THE SALESMAN by Oscar winner Ashgar Farhadi, THELMA by Joachim Trier among others. MFI is currently co-producing CALL ME BY YOUR NAME by Luca Guadagnino and SMALL CRIMES by E.L. Katz.

Memento has worked with great authors such as Laurent Cantet, Pawel Pawlikowski, Dominik Moll, Kelly Reichardt, Ramin Bahrani, Jia Zhang-ke, Ursula Meier, Olivier Assayas, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Joachim Trier, Cate Shortland and many more.
