biography

After a decade of experience in sales, distribution and production, Naïma joined Memento in 2013 as their head of production and finance.

She gained expertise in legal and finance at Celluloid Dreams on projects such as Todd Haynes I’m not there, Tom Kalin’s Savage Grace or Michael Haneke’s English language remake of Funny Games; she served as a sales exec for Eone in Toronto before moving to London in 2010 where she headed the business affairs department of indie distributor Metrodome Distribution. She later joined Headline Pictures as a production executive for films like Dustin Hoffman’s Quartet and Ralph Fiennes' The Invisible Woman.
At Memento, she works to design the acquisition and investment strategy on ambitious English language, effectively handling the company’s proposals.
She is building and overseeing the IP development slate from London, bringing in directors / producers relationships as well as input and supervision of the creative process on all Memento properties. Her exec prod credits include Call Me By Your Name, and most recently Justin Kurzel's True History of the Kelly Gang and Benedict Andrews' Seberg.

Memento Films International is an independent production and sales company based in Paris and London. Emilie Georges founded it in 2005. Designed to track and accompany selective, high profile, director driven cinema, it represents 8 to 10 projects on its international slate, and most recently develops and produces its own material. Attending major industry events, its ambition is to nurture and to consolidate talents around the world, with an award winning, original and innovative line-up. With now its production and financing capacities, it offers tailor made solutions for the filmmakers and partners worldwide.

The current slate includes BERLIN SYNDROME by Cate Shortland, MA LOUTE by Bruno Dumont, THE SALESMAN by Oscar winner Ashgar Farhadi, THELMA by Joachim Trier among others. MFI is currently co-producing CALL ME BY YOUR NAME by Luca Guadagnino and SMALL CRIMES by E.L. Katz.

Memento has worked with great authors such as Laurent Cantet, Pawel Pawlikowski, Dominik Moll, Kelly Reichardt, Ramin Bahrani, Jia Zhang-ke, Ursula Meier, Olivier Assayas, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Joachim Trier, Cate Shortland and many more.
