biography

Michal Vinik graduated the Film and Television Department at Tel-Aviv University as a scriptwriter and majored as a director in the MFA program (won 2 scholarships for excellence).

Her first feature film “Barash” premiered in San Sebastian FF, was presented in Karlovy Vary FF and in more than 70 festival around the world and won prizes in Israel and around the world.
Her first short “Bait” premiered at Sundance FF and he second short “Srak” premiered at Locarno FF.
She created and co-directed a Tv series (with Talya Lavie and Daniella Doron) and wrote for TV (“Ha’mekulalim” by Hagai Levi and “30 shekel per hour”” By Yossi Madmoni and David Ofek)

Michal also created "The Eternal Smile" – Comics photo novel staring playmobile dolls (with Talya Lavie) – published at newspapers & net.

Michal is teaching directing and scriptwriting at Tel Aviv University, and writing her second feature film.
