Director / Screenwriter from Medellin, Colombia. Studied Audiovisual Communication at the Universidad de Antioquia, where he also worked as lecturer in film editing before moving to the UK. In 2014, finished the MA in Filmmaking at the London Film School. His graduation film "Leidi" won the short film Palme d’Or at Cannes Film Festival 2014 and the Gold Hugo for best short at the Chicago International Film Festival 2015. His next short film, the Swedish Colombian coproduction "Madre" was again in competition at the Cannes Film Festival 2016.
He is currently writing/developing his debut film "Amparo".

Since the start in 2011, Momento Film has established itself as one of the most vibrant independent documentary production companies in Sweden, producing numerous short and feature documentaries and establishing strong networks internationally.

With 15 films already produced and premiered in some of the most important international film festivals (IDFA, HOT DOCS, CPH:DOX, GIFF etc), Momento Film has successfully moved into fiction film production with the compilation of shorts BREAK THE SILENCE, with MADRE premiering in the Official Short film competition in Cannes 2016.

Since the start, the focus has been to find the most interesting new voices who want push the borders of film-making which means that the company is working with a lot of international directors. Currently, Momento Film is working on a slate of fiction and documentary projects among which the following can be mentioned: AMPARO by Simón Mesa Soto and HAMADA by Eloy Domíngues Serén.
