Deema Azar is a Jordanian film producer and script consultant. She is also co-founder and managing partner at TaleBox, a Jordanian production and training company based in Amman which fosters and nurtures new talents in Jordan.
Azar occupied the position of Regional Training Manager at the Royal Film Commission – Jordan where she managed all regional training programs aimed at Arab filmmakers, including Rawi Screenwriters’ Lab and Med Film Factory, between 2012 and 2016.
​She produced the German/Jordanian co-production THE PARROT (2016), recipient of the 2015 Film Prize of the Robert Bosch Stiftung.
​Her next project is Darin J. Sallam's debut feature film FARHA currently in development.
Azar is also an independent script consultant. She consults on film projects, is a reader for the Doha Film Institute and a TorinoFilmLab's ScriptLab - story editing 2017 programme alumna.

Stemming from our belief in the importance of telling unique stories from our region, and our desire to contribute to the development and empowerment of the Jordanian and Arab cinema industry, we established TaleBox in 2016. We are a young Jordanian production and training company based in Amman, with a focus on emerging voices and local and regional talents.

TaleBox nurtures rising film directors and fosters up-and-coming producers. Our work spans ideation and development through production and release. Additionally, we invest our experience and expertise in training, story editing and script consulting.
