biography

Claire Charles-Gervais graduated from EDHEC Business School and from the Media Business School with a Post Graduate Training “European Audiovisual Management”. She started her career at Canal + then worked in production and acquisition for the sales agency Ondamax based in Miami. Returning to France, Claire worked as business affairs for Fidélité Films (Gaspard Noé, Emmanuelle Bercot, André Téchiné’s last movies) for a year and as business affairs then CFO for the sale agency and production company Urban Distribution International/Factory for four years.

Set up in 2015 and based in Paris and La Rochelle, In Vivo Films aims to support directors and writers from various backgrounds and countries, for short and feature films.

In Vivo Films develops projects with a strong cultural identity based on local topics with the potential to reach an international audience.

In Vivo Films also co-produces projects initiated by international producers looking for a French partner.

In Vivo Films produced its first feature film in 2017, "Thirst Street" directed by Nathan Silver, a French-USA coproduction with Lindsay Burdge, Damien Bonnard, Esther Garrel, Lola Bessis, Jacques Nolot, and Francoise Lebrun. Thirst Street premiered in Official Competition at Tribeca Film Festival in April 2017.

In Vivo Films is currently developping several feature films including « Tangier Stories» by Fyzal Boulifa, France-Maroc (Rewriting support from the CNC, Development support from the région Aquitaine), « Abou Leila » by Amin Sidi Boumediene, France-Algérie (Cinefondation l’Atelier 2016, Locarno-Open Doors 2015, FDATIC and CADC support, Aide aux Cinema du Monde, Aide à la production de la Région Nouvelle Aquitaine), « El son de Eliecer » by Joan Gomez, Colombia-France, « Awakenings » by Jure Pavlovic, Croatia-France, « Seasons in the Sun » by Nathan Silver, France-USA, « Los Europeos » by Victor Garcia Leon, Spain-France.
