biography

Frank Hoeve is a filmproducer based in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) and co-owner of BALDR Film (2012).
His latest credits are the documentary Those who feel the fire burning by Morgan Knibbe (2014, IDFA nomination and Dutch Academy Award for best feature documentary), Sevilla (2012, Clermont Ferrand and Dutch Academy Award for best short film.
Currently in post-production is the feature Brothers by Bram Schouw and the Danish-Swedish-Dutch co-production Between Two Worlds by Janus Metz (Armadillo, Grand Prize Semaine de la Critique in Cannes).

Before establishing BALDR Film, Frank produced for seven years at production company IJswater Films, where he (co-)produced films as Skin by Hanro Smitsman, Win-Win by Jaap van Heusden and May 22nd by Koen Mortier.
Frank Hoeve graduated from the Haarlem Business School with a Bachelor of Economics. In 2004, he attended a course in Film Studies at the University of Barcelona.
In addition to his producers work, he was the chairman for the Association of New Film and Television Makers (NFTVM). In 2011 he participated in the Ateliers du Cinema (ACE) that provides training and a network for European producers and he attended the Story Editing Workshop by Franz Rodenkirchen at the Binger Filmlab. Recently he was a board member of the Go Short International Film Festival.
