Tala Hadid made her first feature documentary film "Sacred Poet" on Pier Paolo Pasolini. Her award winning films screened at several film festivals around the world, including Berlin and Venice, and they were shown, among other venues, at the MoMA and Lincoln Center in NYC, The Walker Arts Center, La Cinémathèque Française in Paris and the Photographer’s Gallery in London.

In 2014, Hadid completed "The Narrow Frame of Midnight". The film premiered at Toronto and went on to screen at numerous film festivals. In 2017, Hadid's latest project, "House in the Fields", was in the official selection at the Berlin Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Glashütte Documentary Award. The film was awarded Best Feature Film at FCAAL Milano Film Festival and Best Documentary Film at the Hong Kong Film Festival, and won the Fiction/Non Fiction Award at Millennium Docs against Gravity in Warsaw, and the 2017 John Marshall Award in the US.
