biography
Wregas Bhanuteja was born in Jakarta, 20 October 1992. He grew up in Yogyakarta, and went to a film school in Jakarta Institute of Arts with film directing major. His short film LEMBUSURA (2014) was selected in 65th Berlin International Film Festival 2015. After graduated from the institute, he worked in a production house in Jakarta. He continued making short films, and PRENJAK / IN THE YEAR OF MONKEY (2016) is his latest film. PRENJAK got Leica Cine Discovery Priza for Best Short Film in the 55th Semaine de la Critique, Cannes 2016.

MILES Films is an Indonesian fully owned local production company, established in March 1995, now headed by Mira Lesmana and Riri Riza. In 1999, despite the lack of faith from the people in the Indonesian film industry, Miles Films began its venture in producing feature films.
Miles Films has managed to produce films that became phenomenal succes in Indonesia, such as PETUALANGAN SHERINA (Sherina’s Adventure) and LASKAR PELANGI (The Rainbow Troops/2008). Not to mention ADA APA DENGAN CINTA (What’s With Love/2002) and it’s sequel in 2016.
Miles Films also released critically acclaimed works that received numeral awards in the International Film Festival circuits, such as ELIANA, ELIANA (2002), 3 HARI UNTUK SELAMANYA (3 Days To Forever/2007), ATAMBUA 39C (2012) and SOKOLA RIMBA (The Jungle School/20013).
Their latest film ATHIRAH - the international version is titled EMMA (Mother), won 6 awards from the Indonesian Film Festival, including Best Picture.
