Bruno Carboni edited more than 20 short films and several feature films such as CASTANHA by Davi Pretto (64th Berlinale Forum) and BEIRA-MAR by Filipe Matzembacher & Marcio Reolon (65th Berlinale Forum). He has also co-directed two short films, WAITING ROOM (2009) with Davi Pretto and GARRY (2012) with Richard Tavares. O TETO SOBRE NÓS (The Roof Above Us) was his first solo short film and world premiered at 68th Locarno Film Festival - Leopards of Tomorrow Competition. In 2016 he was selected at the Berlinale Talents.

Tokyo Filmes is an independent Brazilian film company founded in 2009, which focuses on artistic-driven films, development of first features, produces films festivals and laboratory for projects in development and editing in Brazil.
Their shorts were presented in festivals such as Locarno, Bilbao, Stockholm, São Paulo, Valdívia, Havana, Rio, Montevideo, Huelva etc. Their first feature CASTANHA (2014) by Davi Pretto, had its world premiere at the 64th Berlinale - Forum, was selected by more than 25 festivals and sold to Argentina, Austria, Portugal, Germany and Switzerland. Their second feature RIFLE (2016) by Pretto, had its World Premiere at the 49th Brasilia Film Festival (Best Film - Critics Prize, Best Screenplay and Best Sound by the official jury).
The company also produced several film series and retrospectives such as 20 ANOS DE TAKASHI MIIKE (20 years of Takashi Miike, 2011), ZONA LIVRE (Free Zone, 2009/2010) and SESSÃO PLATAFORMA (Platform Session, 2013-2016).
Tokyo Filmes created and produces Plataforma:Lab, a lab for Brazilian features in different stages of production, based in Porto Alegre, that had its second edition in 2016.
