Biography
Ru Kuwahata is an award-winning animation filmmaker born in Tokyo, Japan. She received her BFA from Parsons School of Design in NYC and has been working with Max Porter as “Tiny Inventions” since 2007. Specializing in mixed media animation, Ru has directed and produced TV commercials, music videos and independent films. Her fourth professional film, NEGATIVE SPACE, has won 52 international awards and is nominated for an Academy Award in the Short Animation category.
