biography

Writer, director and producer Anna M. Bofarull studied in Barcelona and Paris. She is Berlinale Talents, Sources 2, Torino Film Lab, Midpoint and EWA Mentoring alumni. Her feature documentaries FOOTNOTES and HAMMADA and her feature fictions SONATA FOR CELLO and BARCELONA 1714 have been awarded and screened at festivals worldwide including Montréal, Sao Paulo, Thessaloniki, Valladolid, Reykjavik and Gijón. She has currently finished the feature film SINJAR, a coproduction with Genius at Large (USA) selected at L’Atélier in Cannes 2019 and awarded at European Work in Progress Cologne 2020.
