Alessandro Amato attended the Gian Maria Volonté School of Film Art in Rome soon after his Master’s Degree in Law, studying at Bocconi University in Milan and RomaTre University. He further developed his profile through professional experiences in theatre as a producer, director and AD, in cinema as line producer and executive producer and organizing cultural events. In 2015 he founded the film production company dispàrte, of which he’s CEO, producing films that have been selected and awarded in numerous international festivals. The latest credit is Maternal (Hogar) by Maura Delpero, premiered at 72. Locarno Film Festival - Concorso Internazionale, where it won four awards. He’s a voting member of the European Film Academy (EFA) and a member of EAVE, having attended PUENTES workshop first as participant and then as an expert.

dispàrte is an independent production company established in Rome in 2015, founded by Alessandro Amato and Luigi Chimienti. Our mission is to give voice and image to emerging talents, focusing on character-driven stories and on international art house co-productions.

dispàrte projects have been developed through international workshops such as EAVE PUENTES, EAVE on demand and MAIA Workshops and presented at the major international pitching and co-production meetings, forums and markets such as Marchè du flm (Cannes), Europe-Latin America Coproduction Forum (San Sebastian), Ventana Sur (Buenos Aires), WEMW (Trieste).

Our latest releases are "Maternal" (original title "Hogar"), an award-winning feature film by Maura Delpero premiered at the Locarno Festival and "Monologue", a short film by Lorenzo Landi and Michelangelo Mellony selected at the 34. Venice International Film Critics Week 2019 SIC@SIC.

Currently we are developing "Margini" a dramedy feature film by Niccolò Falsetti with the development support of MiBAC and RAI Cinema. We are also developing the feature film "Il Cileno" an Italian Chilean co-production with EQUECO with the support of MiBAC-CNCA co-development fund and Ibermedia Development fund.
