biography

Lara Costa-Calzado is a Spanish film producer based in the U.S. since 2011. After earning her certificate in producing at UCLA she moved to New York to produce independent films. In 2016, she produced "Primo" written and directed by Federica Gianni, which premiered at Palm Springs Int ShortFestival in 2017. Costa- Calzado is a Rotterdam Producers Lab 2020 fellow and her most recent work includes "Never Rarely Sometimes Always" by Eliza Hitman (Silver Bear at Berlinale and Special Jury Award at Sundance Film Festival) and "The Roads Not Taken" by Sally Potter (Official Selection at Berlinale). Costa-Calzado has founded, with her producing partner Tatiana Bears, the production company Other Season.
