Deepti’s varied experience of over 2 decades in the media & entertainment industry makes her well-equipped to drive the execution of film projects requiring creativity while working in a structured environment. Instinctive by nature Deepti has built her pulse for spotting talent and content that works.
What started as an additional responsibility of reading and analysing scripts at Disney India (UTV software India Limited then) became a full-time management job at Sahara One Motion pictures India in 2006. It further extended to script analysis and commissioning of the films to be produced, at Viacom 18 motion Pictures India ( A Network 18 enterprise) . Her profile included interaction with script writers & Directors, promoting & doctoring new scripts, sanctioning & supervising productions of films the ones she greenlit for the studios. For all of her projects, she has brought to bear her technical knowledge and in-depth understanding of all aspects of film-making, leading to no compromises in the output.
Deepti took a plunge into the business side of the entertainment business by leading Distribution & Syndication of National Films Development Corporation ,India in 2017. While nurturing existing partnership held by the prestigious organisation, she brought new relationships to the company and closed many noteworthy deals in domestic and international territories. Her keen eye for storytelling has resonated well with the international producers, sales agents & programmers. Sniffs n Purrs marks her entry into the world of original fictional series.
