Juan Carlos Vellido




Born in Barcelona and resident in Madrid for more than 25 years. Trained as an actor at Nancy Tuñón's Studio and later with Juan Carlos Corazza, already in Madrid. He also studied Law at the University of Barcelona.

He has developed an extensive career as an actor, both in theater, film and television. He has also worked under the orders of international directors such as Guillermo del Toro (The Devil's Backbone), Rob Marshall (Pirates of the Caribbean IV), or Espen Sandberg and Joachim Ronning (Pirates of the Caribbean V).

In television his work stands out in the series "Hierro", and more recently in the Netflix series "Alguien tiene que morir".

In theater highlights his work under the direction of Argentinean Daniel Veronese in "Bajo Terapia", and in "Siete Años", or in the drama "Los universos paralelos", directed by David Serrano. He is currently on tour with the show "Perfectos Desconocidos", a play directed by Daniel Guzmán.

He has also shot several short films as director, screenwriter and producer, together with Eva Moreno. Among them "Hay dos clases de personas", the documentary "Uno más Uno", or "Fuera de Campo", with which he has won several awards, such as Best Production, Best Art Direction, and Distribution Award, in the framework of the Notodo Film Fest.

As a writer he has published two works of poetic prose ("Escorzos" and "Inercias"), and also the novel "El hombre que vivía en una pecera", with MR-Grupo Planeta.
