biography

Cordelia Alegre, director and scriptwriter born in Barcelona. She graduates in Audiovisual Communication in the Universitat Pompeu Fabra with the documentary La distància dels noms, that was presented in la Seminci de Valladolid 2016. She courses the Master of Creative Documentary in the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and works as the assistant director of Neus Ballús in her new movie “The Odd Job Men”. She works as a freelance director and is co-founder of the Nadir Association of film literacy.
She is currently writing the script of her first feature film La Unión, that took part of the Residencia Iberoamericana de guion de Cali, in Colombia and of the LAB from Novos Cinemas, Galicia, and of The Screen La Incubadora from La ECAM, in Madrid.

Dos Soles Media is the audiovisual brand of Medina Vilalta & Partners, a communication company with more than 20 years of experience, based in Barcelona (Spain), which enters film production with the impulse of newcomers but with the experience of a long career by Àngels Masclans.

Dos Soles is currently developing the feature films "La Unión", the debut of Cordelia Alegre and "Esmorza amb mi" (Have breakfast with me), Opera Prima by Iván Morales.

As a freelance, Àngels has participated as Associate Producer of the film Girasoles Silvestres (Wild Flowers), directed by Jaime Rosales and produced by Fresdeval, Acontracorriente Films, Oberon Media and Luxbox (France). Currently in postproduction.

In recent years, she has been Delegate Producer of Oberon Cinematográfica and has participated in the development, production, and exploitation of its projects, including: La hija de un ladrón (A thief’s daughter), 2019, directed by Belén Funes. Concha de Plata for best actress, Greta Fernández at the San Sebastian Festival 2019; Goya for Best New Director; and Gaudí Awards for Best Film in a non-Catalan language, Best Direction and Best Screenplay. Petra, 2018, directed by Jaime Rosales. A co-production of Fresdeval Films, Oberon Cinematográfica and Wanda Vision (Spain), Les Productions Balthazar (France) and Snowglobe Films (Denmark), with the support of Eurimages. Selected by the Quinzaine de Realisateurs of the Cannes Festival and by the Pearls Section of the San Sebastian Festival, among many other festivals. Nominated for EFA Awards (Best Actress Bárbara Lennie).

Previously she also worked in: Vida privada (Private life), 2017, miniseries directed by Sílvia Munt; El Elegido (The chosen), 2016, feature film directed by Antonio Chavarrías, a co-production by Oberon Cinematográfica and Alebrije Producciones (Mexico); Elisa K, directed by Judith Colell and Jordi Cadena (Special Jury Prize in San Sebastian, 2010); La Teta Asustada (The milk of sorrow), (Golden Bear and Fipresci Berlin Award 2008, nominated for an Oscar for Best Film in a non-English language), and Madeinusa, (Sundance Film Festival 2006 and Fipresci Award in Rotterdam), by Claudia Llosa; and Pau i el seu germà (Pau and his brother) (Cannes Festival 2001) and L’arbre de les cireres, (The tree of cherries) (Fipresci Prize at the Locarno Festival 1998), by Marc Recha, among others.
