biography

Reece is a producer and founder of Bombito productions, a Glasgow based production company specialising in films that discuss, provoke and reflect current society – with a focus on stories from the queer community.

Reece has produced award winning short form work and also works freelance in production on high end film, TV and commercials. Recent credits include Elizabeth is Missing (STV/BBC), Our Ladies (Sony, Sigma) and She Will (Popcorn Group).

During 2020 - 2021, Reece produced two commissions with director Jack Goessens:

1. A documentary Everyman for Scottish Documentary Institute. A personal, visual essay about gender transition – focusing on the social context and exploring how the world is different living as female compared to being perceived as male. Everyman premiered at Glasgow Film Festival 2021 and will screen at BAFTA qualifying Glasgow Short Film Festival 2021 before starting its international festival journey

2. Live action and animated film - Who I am Now via Creative Scotland’s Inclusion fund. Two trans refugees share their stories in this short film about family - the families we’re born into, and the families we make out of our friends. Currently in post-production, this film was written by BAFTA winning writer Michael Lee Richardson and stars Adam Kashmiry (Adam, Ghostlight) and Talisa Garcia (Baptiste, The Girlfriend Experience). Animation by award winning Edinburgh based animator Holly Summerson

Reece was recently mentored by producer and BFI Vision awardee Joy Gharoro Akpojotor through Glasgow Film Festival. Reece will soon be producing In Her Corner, a co-production with Laura McBride of Lothian Films. Directed by Emma Ramsay and written by Mikey Burnett, based on his hit stage play. Described as ‘Trainspotting meets Rocky’.
