biography

Tommaso Landucci was born in Lucca, Tuscany, in 1989. In 2011 he was accepted to the directing course of the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome under the direction of Daniele Luchetti, graduating in 2013.
From 2012 to 2016 he worked as first or second assistant director, tying himself to Claudio Giovannesi during the shooting of the film "Alì ha gli occhi azzurri" and especially to the director Luca Guadagnino during the film "A Bigger Splash" of which he followed the realization from the preparation until the closure of post-production. From 2017 to 2020 he made a documentary for cinema entitled "Caveman", presented at Venice Days 2021, Notti Veneziane section - produced by DocLab and Contrast Film, with the support of creative producer Dario Zonta. The film was financed through MIBAC, Toscana Film Commission, Lazio Cinema International, with the support of RSI, FILMCOOPI and Swiss funds.
He is currently developing two film projects: "Re di Venere", a psychological thriller written together with the novelist Michela Murgia, and “Children of the Monkey", which won the best screenplay award at the Premio Solinas 2021.
