Cristina is born in Lucca, her mother is half American and her father is Italian. She starts ballet lessons and goes to the theatre since she was very little. She attends high school where she studies English, French and German; she graduates with a thesis on “Antigone” by Jean Anouilh. Then she moves to Rome to follow her big passion, cinema. She becomes a doctor in Communication Sciences discussing a thesis regarding Cinema and Fashion at “La Sapienza” University. Meanwhile, she studies acting at Duse International with Francesca De Sapio, and participates at many seminars in Italy and abroad with acting coach like Susan Main, Micheal Margotta, Juan Carlos Corazza, Bob Mc Andrew, Matteo
Belli, Mamadou Dioume. She starts working right away in cinema, tv
and theatre on Italian and international projects with artists like Paolo Virzì, Luis Prieto, Pupi Avati, Abel Ferrara, Gigi Proietti and many more. Writing is the other interest she cultivates from a very young age, with a preference for short stories and poems. In 2007 she writes, directs and interprets her first short movie. With enthusiasm, she then continues devoting herself to directing, and realizes a number of awarded shorts, sold in Italy and other countries, as well as documentaries, commercials, video. She also wrote as a journalist for “Alias” and held a column on cinema for Loschermo.it. From 2013 she organizes the event “Effetto Cinema Notte” within the Lucca Film Festival and Europa Cinema, where she coordinates inspirational meetings on cinema. She is appointed Artistic Director of the festival “Il Teatro dei Perché” within the “Festival del Volontariato”. In 2016-2018 she creates development workshops on cinema writing in Lucca. In 2019 she becomes Artistic Director of Firenze Film Corti Festival.
