biography

Valentina Mavretić has a Master's degree in Film Writing and Drama from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb.
She writes screenplays, dramatic texts, and short stories. She also works as a copywriter.
She is a co-writer on documentary “Being related to John Malkovich” (currently in production).
Her theatre play won second “Marin Držić Award” of the Ministry of Culture.
She won the support for literary works of the Ministry of Culture for her book of short stories.
Valentina was the representative of the Republic of Croatia at the regional literature festival and literary anthology “Rukopisi44”.
Valentina works and lives in Zagreb with her husband and co-writer Luka and their son.
