CINE VENDAVAL
Vendaval means "strong wind". Following that spirit, Cine Vendaval is a Mexican production company looking to impulse and empower new creative voices. Encouraging them to keep going with their creative work and give us with it a fresh air that shakes our perspective and motivates us to generate positive changes in our society.
It was created in 2016 by Marta Hernaiz Pidal and until now it has produced several short films and the feature films The Assumption of José from Colombian director Juan Rocha in 2016, I am God Dogma I by Jorge Bolado, T’ sonot, a co production between Mexico and Japan directed by Kaori Oda, which premiered at International Film Festival of Rotterdam 2020 and won the Estudios Churubusco award for post production in FICUNAM 2020 and Marta´s first feature as a director The Chaotic Life of Nada Kadic premiere at Berlinale Forum and was the opening film of the Forum at the National Cinematheque in Mexico City and release in national theaters in 2019.
Cine vendaval is an associate producer in “Los sustos ocultos de Frankelda” the first stop motion animated series in Latin America created by the studio Cinema Fantasma and released by Cartoon Network and HBOMAX .
Currently Cine Vendaval is co-producing “The Ballad of The Phoenix” directed by Arturo & Roy Ambriz, a stop-motion feature film which could be the first of its kind in México, and “Straight Ahead on your Right” the second feature film of the director Marta Hernaiz Pidal .
