Film Director, Scriptwriter

biography

I was born and grew up in Ukraine.
I fell in love with filmmaking after watching the films of Andrei Tarkovsky and Sergey Parajanov.
It brought me to the Directing Department at FAMU (Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague) where I got my bachelor’s degree in 2019.
In 2019 I wrote and directed my bachelor’s film "Plus One" where I worked with actors and non-actors with Down’s syndrome, confronting documentary life with fiction.
The pandemic year 2020 I spent at the international script development program LIM —Less is more (lasting for 9-months) working on my first feature film called "One million reasons to dream". In my opinion, the film itself can create a different layer in our perception, a totally different world, that's why it shouldn't look realistic.
At the same time, I developed a short fairy tale story called “Brothers”, that got financial support from Ukrainian Film State Agency and is planned to be released in 2022.
