biography

Sasha Li is an independent filmmaker originally from China. She was born in 1990 and when she was 17 years old, she went to the Netherlands for study. After graduating from Utrecht University, she has been working as 1st AD and line producer alongside established filmmakers on award-winning feature-length documentaries, commercials and short films. Her own work includes award-winning short film Bride Token, Being Deaf, series of creative video portrait Insight for RNW Media. Bride Token is also the prequel of the feature-length film Autumn Willow she has been writing on since 2019. At this moment, Sasha is based both in Europe and China.
