Born in 1984, also in Minas Gerais (Brazil), Érika Pereira dos Santos studied Theater at the College of Arts Dulcina de Moraes, in Brasília, city where she worked for more than 10 years. She was a producer and assistant director in several works, including short and feature films. She produced the films "A Menina Espantalho", "Marina não vai à praia", among other shorts by her brother Cássio Pereira dos Santos. These films have been selected by more than 200 festivals worldwide. Also, she was part of the production team of several feature films, such as “Faroeste Caboclo” by René Sampaio (based on the song by Renato Russo), “Até que a Casa Caia” by Mauro Giuntini, “À Espera de Liz”, by Bruno Torres, “Insolação” by Felipe Hirsch and Daniela Thomas, among others. One of the founders at Campo Cerrado Produções, Erika is currently overseeing the release of “Valentina” (2020), the production company's first feature. This film won 24 international awards and has assured distribution in Spain, Sweden and Japan. Valentina was also released on Netflix Brasil and Netflix Latinoamérica. Currently Erika is involved in the development and financing of “Fire Season”, her production company’s second feature film.
-Campo Cerrado Produções is a young film production company based in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Created by the siblings Cássio Pereira dos Santos and Érika Pereira dos Santos, the company has in its portfolio works selected in more than 200 national and international festivals, having accumulated around 70 awards. Among our works are the short films “Menina Espantalho” (2008), “Marina não vai à praia” (2014), as well as “Valentina” (2020), the production company debut feature. "Valentina" was selected by more than 60 film festivals, and has received 24 awards. The film as also sold to Netflix Latin America, and acquired by distributors in Brazil, Japan, Sweden and Spain.
