Biography

Stephen Vandingenen is the in-house junior producer at the Belgian film production company A Private View. In 2021, together with Dries Phlypo, he produced the TV series STORM LARA directed by Kadir Ferati Balci. The series was an audience and critical succes and was selected for the Berlinale Series Market Selects 2022. In 2013, Stephen obtained a degree in Cinematographic and Audiovisual Studies at the Université Paris-Est and, in 2015, he obtained a Master in Film Making at Kingston University in London, where he received the MA Film Making prize for excellence in film making. In 2019, he attended the annual APostLab workshop in Bucharest, Romania. Stephen worked as producer on the feature film SEA SPARKLE (2023) directed by Domien Huyghe, as line producer on the feature MY DAD IS A SAUSAGE (2021) by Anouk Fortunier and as post supervisor on the drama series A GOOD YEAR (2021). As a production coordinator for A Private View he worked on projects such as INSIDE by Vasilis Katsoupis, OINK by Mascha Halberstad, ALL THE PRETTY LITTLE HORSES by Michalis Konstantatos and LIFE AS IT SHOULD BE by Ruud Schuurman As a producer he is currently developing the feature films MESOPOTAMIA CAFE directed by Sahim Omar Kalifa (ZAGROS; BAGHDAD MESSI) and O LOVELY BELGIUM written by Jean-Claude van Rijckeghem (MOSCOW, BELGIUM; OXYGEN), the TV series SKATE OR HATE directed by Domien Huyghe (SEA SPARKLE) and the short film PEDRO by Aline Boyen.
