Biography

Jamila Wenske was born in 1975 and grew up in Berlin. She graduated 2005 with the feature film and prestigious German Max Ophüls audience award winner CHILDREN OF THE MOON at the German film university HFF KONRAD WOLF in Babelsberg. She did her post-graduate Master Atelier Network for European junior producers in Paris and Ludwigsburg. In 2005 she won the Silver Bear at the Berlinale with her short film JAM SESSION. Jamila has been the production manager for large feature films, including Hans-Christian Schmid’s international co-production STORM, which premiered in competition at the Berlinale in 2009 or Geraldine Bajard’s LA LISIERE (THE EDGE), which had it’s world premiere in Locarno 2010. In 2014 Jamila was selected for the Ateliers du Cinéma Européen program, is member of the ACE Producers Network and the European Film Academy.
