Rémi Bonhomme is the newly appointed Artistic Director of the Marrakech International Film Festival and Director of the Atlas Workshops, the festival’s industry platform supporting directors from the African Continent and the Arab World. He was a member of the festival’ selection committee and head of the Workshops since 2018. From 2009 to 2020, he was the Program manager of Cannes’ Semaine de la Critique and Director of Next Step, a workshop that guides short film directors as they work towards their first feature-length works. Rémi started his career in Lebanon as Cultural officer at the French Institute in Beirut and Associate Producer of the Lebanese feature Every Day is a Holiday by Dima El Horr. He is a board member of the cinema theater Metropolis in Beirut.
