Bio

Marianne Dumoulin started working for JBA in 1992. Here, in Jacques Bidou's company, she was in charge of many films, including Maria de Medeiros' "April Captains" (Official Selection Cannes 2000), Raoul Peck's "Lumumba" (Directors’ Fortnight Cannes 2000), Rithy Panh's "One evening after the war" (Official Selection Cannes 1998), Teresa Villaverde's "The mutants" (Official Selection Cannes 1998), Ramadan Suleman's "Fools" (Locarno 1997), plus Merzak Allouache's "Hey cousin!" (Directors’ Fortnight Cannes 1996) and "Bab el oued city" (Official Selection Cannes 1994) as well as documentaries including "Gog, dollar, flag and dog" by Robert Bozzi (Lussas 2005), "Paris taxi" by Robert Bozzi (Competition Locarno 2002), "Justice" by Olivier Ballande (First Prize Nyon 1998), "Notes from a Kurdish rebel"  by Stefano Savona (Scam Prize and Distinction of the Young Jury in festival Réel 2006) and also "Fucking Sheffield" by Kim Flitcroft.
In 1999, she became producer.
Since then, JBA has produced two feature films by Marc Recha "Pau and his brother" (Competition Cannes 2001) and "Where is madame Catherine?" (Official Selection Cannes 2003), "A piece of sky" by Bénédicte Liénard (Official Selection Cannes 2002), "Feathers in my head" by Thomas de Thier (Directors’ Fortnight Cannes 2003), "Salvador Allende" by Patricio Guzman (Out of Competition Cannes 2004), "Zulu love letter" by Ramadan Suleman (Official Selection Venice 2004), "Salt of this sea" by Annemarie Jacir (Official Selection Cannes 2008) and "Salamandra" by Pablo Agüero (Directors’ Fortnight Cannes 2008).
In 2009, the film produced by JBA Production "Face" by Tsai Ming-Liang has been selected in Cannes Film Festival in Competition and one other is in preparation "L’énergumène" by Jean-Loïc Portron.
