Bio
Firas Khnaisser was born in Beirut, Lebanon on the 23rd of May 1979. He developed a fascination with the arts at a young age, completely immersing himself in the study of calligraphy and a number of musical instruments.
Writing came naturally to the young Firas, who went on to be published regularly during his elementary school days, writing fiction for school magazines. He also developed a passion for poetry, which continues to drive him to this day.
During university, Firas had the opportunity to study the disciplines of photography and further explore the art of film under some of the most eminent professors in the Middle East. His heightened exposure to film coupled with his natural inclination to write allowed for a natural progression into the realm of scriptwriting.
Firas currently resides in Dubai where he works as a consultant and professional copywriter. His latest contribution to film was his collaboration on Samer Ghorayeb’s debut short film Le Petit Cahier Noir. Firas is currently working on three new film projects that are scheduled for production in late 2010.
