TFL Extended - TV Series 2018


QUICK FACTS

TARGET PARTICIPANTS: International scriptwriters, directors, producers and story editors. The professional workshop is aimed at implementing the fundamental techniques and skills necessary to develop and produce successful TV Series projects.
Candidates must present a TV series project at an early development stage, which will be used during the workshop to exercise.

DURATION: residential workshop in Turin from 6th to 9th April 2018.

FEE: 1.500 Euro per individual participant; 2.000 Euro per team (max 2 participants).

About TFL Extended – TV Series
TFL Extended - TV Series is a new TorinoFilmLab training workshop addressed to teams of international professionals, who want to strengthen their techniques and skills to develop and produce a TV Series project.

TV series production requires a mix of creativity, constant challenge and genuine sense of team spirit between writers, story editors and other stakeholders such as producers and broadcasters. The heart of the workshop is to offer to international professionals the tools necessary to develop their own original and ambitious TV series projects.

TFL Extended - TV Series is open to up to 20 projects which will join an intensive 4-day-long workshop in Turin, from 6th to 9th April  2018.

The workshop is a combination of individual and group sessions, case studies and master classes, aiming at implementing expertise and knowledge to create TV series concepts and acquire a depth understanding of markets, audiences and broadcasters.

The staff of experts and trainers includes established head writers, story editors, showrunners and commissioning editors from all over the world.
 

Who can apply?
TFL Extended – TV Series is open to professional International scriptwriters, directors, producers and story editors. The registrations can be submitted individually or in team (maximum 2 participants per team) and must be linked to a TV series project at early development stage, which will be used to support masterclasses and individual one-to-one meetings with experts.

The working language of all the workshop, meetings and events is English; thus, a good knowledge of English is essential in order to participate.

There is no selection process: the participation will be registered and confirmed according to the seats still available.

Participation fees
Workshop participation fee: 1.500 Euro per individual participant; 2.000 Euro per team (max 2 participants).
This amount covers workshop training. Participants must pay their travel, board and lodging costs.

In many Countries , public institutions make scholarships available for this kind of training.
 

How to apply?
Candidates must fill the online Application form and send the requested materials – to be submitted all together in one PDF:
- an updated CV for each participant (2 pages maximum)
- project’s logline (2 lines maximum)
- concept presentation (7.500 characters, spaces included)
- audiovisual approach documents (moodboard, etc.), if available

Submitted materials should be in English or have English subtitles/translation.

The Workshop
In this four-day intensive course, participants will learn the fundamentals of creating viable and original TV series concepts, including working in a team writing environment, and ensuring power and strength to ideas, that can meet markets’ requirements and attract potential partners.

The workshop is composed of classwork, case studies and masterclasses with TorinoFilmLab experts. Beyond the training, participants will have the chance to join the TorinoFilmLab community of International and high-qualified professionals and to network with their colleagues.
